Thank you for stumbling by this blog - I have now moved this to - http://nottscountycricketclub.blogspot.co.uk/
The 2010 season draws to an end and Nottinghamshire squeek in by the narrowest of margins. Level on points with Somerset but winning the title by virtue of getting more wins throughout the season.

This seemed a good point on which to start my Notts blog. I've been following them for over thirty years now but some may consider my credentials to be a little sketchy. I live in Hertfordshire and began to follow Notts after Derek Randall's mighty innings in the 1977 Centenary Test. I'm sure I'm not alone in that but I have stuck with them ever since. I was there in 1989 when Eddie Hemmings squeezed a four from the final ball of the match to win the Benson & Hedges final and I still watch replays of the 1985 Nat West Final in the belief that this time Randall will hit the final ball past the fielder!
So there we are - I've explained myself and I hope I pass the exam. Over the coming months I shall bring some, hopefully more insightful pieces on the Champion County.
